Behaviour of prestressing tendons after release. Part I: Theoretical model

Abstract

This paper presents a theoretical model to describe the behaviour of a pretensioned tendon after release of the prestressing force. The model is verified under different hypoteses and phases of the force-release process, showing good agreement withthe observed experimental behaviour. The techniques for computing prestress loss due to anchor slip at anchorages.
