Shear connectors

Abstract


The paper gives a view of chapter 6 of EC4, ""Shear connection in beams for buildings"". It starts with the exposition of some general concepts that are used by the above mentioned document. The different options and calculation criteria are reviewed. Finally, a tring of conditions and detailing recommendations for the shear connectors are shown. In addition, the example of a composite beam solid slab and stud connectors is solved.
