Evaluation with dynamics techniques and intervention proposal of the structure of a theater
Abstract
This work shows the analyzes carried out on the resistant structure of a floor for boxes of the Municipal Theater of the city of Olavarría, Argentina. Its objective is the behavior evaluation, its diagnosis and the intervention proposal by reinforcing the resistant structure of the theater due to the perception of unwanted vibrations during the performance of shows.
For this, vibratory measurements and predictions were made from static numerical analyzes, in two stages. The first stage was carried out under the original conditions of the structure and the second stage after the inclusion of recommended structural reinforcements to achieve adequate performance. The measurements determined were natural frequencies, vibratory amplitudes of displacements, speeds and accelerations. The results obtained, which show good agreement between the theoretical, numerical and experimental methodologies, were compared with the available international guidelines that allow determining the state of the structure.
The evaluations carried out indicate that dynamic analysis constitutes an adequate technique for evaluating and diagnosing structures. This makes to establish the degree of safety of in-service behavior and a evaluation appropiate for requieres interventions.
